1/2 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup brown sugar, packed

1/2 cup vegetable oil

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the Cream Cheese Layer:

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup powdered sugar

1 large egg

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For Topping (Optional):

Chopped pecans or walnuts

Additional cinnamon for dusting

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.

    Prepare the Pumpkin Base: In a large mixing bowl, combine the pumpkin puree, granulated sugar, brown sugar, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and well combined.

      Mix Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.

        Combine Mixtures: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the pumpkin mixture, stirring until just combined. Do not overmix.

          Prepare the Cream Cheese Layer: In another bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Add powdered sugar, egg, and vanilla extract, mixing until creamy.
