Ingredients

9 lasagna noodles

2 cups cooked ham, diced

2 cups asparagus, trimmed and cut into 1-inch pieces

2 cups ricotta cheese

2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 large eggs

2 cups marinara sauce

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Cook the Noodles: In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Prepare the Asparagus: In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the asparagus pieces and sauté for about 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Remove from heat and set aside.

Mix the Cheese Filling: In a large bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, eggs, half of the mozzarella cheese, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.

Assemble the Lasagna: In a 9x13-inch baking dish, spread a thin layer of marinara sauce at the bottom. Layer 3 lasagna noodles over the sauce, followed by half of the ricotta mixture, half of the diced ham, half of the sautéed asparagus, and one-third of the remaining marinara sauce. Repeat this layering process once more.

Top It Off: For the final layer, place the last 3 lasagna noodles on top. Spread the remaining marinara sauce and sprinkle with the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.

Bake: Cover the dish with aluminum foil (make sure it doesn't touch the cheese). Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.

Cool and Serve: Remove the lasagna from the oven and let it rest for about 10 minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley before slicing and serving.
