12 sticks of mozzarella cheese (string cheese works great!)

1 cup all-purpose flour

2 large eggs

1 cup breadcrumbs (panko for extra crispiness)

1 tsp Italian seasoning

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

1 cup marinara sauce (for dipping)

Vegetable oil (for frying)

Prepare the Cheese: Cut the mozzarella sticks in half if desired (you can leave them whole for larger sticks).

    Set Up a Breading Station: In three shallow dishes, place the flour in the first one, beat the eggs in the second, and mix the breadcrumbs with Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in the third.

      Coat the Cheese:

        - First, roll each mozzarella stick in flour, making sure it’s fully coated.

          - Dip it into the beaten eggs, letting any excess drip off.

            - Finally, coat it in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to ensure the breadcrumbs stick. Repeat for all mozzarella sticks.

                Fry the Sticks:

                  - In a deep skillet or pot, heat about 2 inches of vegetable oil over medium heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

                    - Carefully add a few sticks at a time, being cautious not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for about 2-3 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
