Ingredients

For the Steak:

2 ribeye steaks (1 inch thick)

Salt and black pepper, to taste

1 tablespoon olive oil

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

2 cloves garlic, minced

Fresh thyme or rosemary, for garnish

For the Creamy Garlic Shrimp:

1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined

3 tablespoons unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 cup heavy cream

1/4 cup chicken broth

1 teaspoon paprika

Salt and pepper, to taste

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

Prepare the Steaks:

    - Take the ribeye steaks out of the refrigerator and let them sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes. This will help them cook evenly.

      - Season both sides generously with salt and black pepper.

        Cook the Steaks:

          - In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.

            - Add the steaks to the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until your desired doneness is reached.

              - In the last minute of cooking, add the butter and minced garlic to the skillet, basting the steaks with the melted garlic butter. Once done, remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest on a plate, tenting with foil to keep warm.

                Prepare the Creamy Garlic Shrimp:

                  - In the same skillet, lower the heat to medium and add the butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.

                    - Add the shrimp to the skillet and season with paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the shrimp are pink and opaque.

                      - Pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream. Stir well to combine and let the sauce simmer for about 2-3 minutes until it thickens slightly.

                        - Stir in the fresh parsley and lemon juice for brightness. Remove from heat.

                          Serve:

                            - Plate the ribeye steaks and generously spoon the creamy garlic shrimp over the top. Garnish with additional parsley if desired and serve immediately.
