Ingredients

1/2 cup unsalted butter

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

2 large eggs

2 large egg yolks

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/4 cup all-purpose flour

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 cup creamy peanut butter

Powdered sugar, for dusting

Optional: vanilla ice cream for serving

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Grease four ramekins with butter and lightly dust with flour or cocoa powder to prevent sticking.

Melt Chocolate and Butter: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the unsalted butter and semi-sweet chocolate chips. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until fully melted and smooth.

Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, egg yolks, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until well combined.

Combine Ingredients: Slowly pour the melted chocolate mixture into the egg mixture, whisking continuously to avoid cooking the eggs. Once combined, gently fold in the flour and salt until just incorporated.

Prepare Peanut Butter Filling: Place a teaspoon of peanut butter in the center of each greased ramekin. Pour the chocolate batter evenly over the peanut butter, filling each ramekin about 3/4 full.

Bake: Place the ramekins in the preheated oven and bake for 12-14 minutes, or until the edges are firm but the center is still soft. Be careful not to overbake, as you want the center to remain molten.

Cool and Serve: Remove the ramekins from the oven and let them cool for 1-2 minutes. To serve, carefully run a knife around the edges of each cake and invert onto plates. Dust with powdered sugar and serve immediately. For an extra indulgence, top with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
