Ingredients

1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon paprika

1 teaspoon garlic powder

½ teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

2 large eggs

1 cup panko breadcrumbs

Vegetable oil, for frying

½ cup hot sauce (like Frank’s RedHot)

2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

1 tablespoon honey (optional)

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat the Oil: In a deep skillet or fryer, heat about 2 inches of vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

Prepare the Coating: In a large bowl, mix the flour, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. In another bowl, beat the eggs. In a third bowl, place the panko breadcrumbs.

Coat the Shrimp: Dredge each shrimp in the seasoned flour, shaking off any excess. Then dip it into the beaten eggs, allowing the excess to drip off. Finally, coat the shrimp in the panko breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere.

Fry the Shrimp: Carefully place the coated shrimp into the hot oil in batches, being cautious not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Use a slotted spoon to transfer the shrimp to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

Prepare the Buffalo Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together the hot sauce, melted butter, and honey (if using) until well combined.

Toss in Sauce: In a large bowl, add the crispy shrimp and drizzle the buffalo sauce over them. Gently toss to coat every shrimp evenly in the sauce.

Serve: Transfer to a serving platter, sprinkle freshly chopped parsley on top for color, and serve immediately.

                Prep Time: 15 minutes | Total Time: 30 minutes | Servings: 4

                  - Presentation Tips: Arrange the buffalo shrimp on a large platter lined with lettuce leaves, serve with celery sticks and extra hot sauce on the side for dipping.
