2 tablespoons olive oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)

½ teaspoon black pepper

½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional for a kick)

¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped

Zest of 1 lemon

1 pound pasta of your choice (fettuccine or spaghetti work well)

Cook Pasta: Begin by boiling a large pot of salted water. Add your pasta of choice and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve about 1 cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.

    Sauté Garlic: In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil. Once heated, add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant but not browned.

      Make the Cream Sauce: Lower the heat to medium-low and pour in the heavy cream. Stir well to combine with the garlic. Allow it to simmer gently for about 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

        Add Cheese & Seasoning: Gradually whisk in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Add the Italian seasoning, salt, black pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes (if using). Stir to combine and let it simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes.

          Combine Sauce and Pasta: Add the cooked pasta to the sauce and toss gently to coat. If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water a little at a time until you reach the desired consistency.
