Ingredients

4 (6 oz) salmon fillets

2 tablespoons olive oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

1 teaspoon lemon juice

1 teaspoon dried thyme

1 teaspoon dried dill

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Salt and pepper, to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

Prepare the Salmon: Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and pepper.

Sear the Salmon: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the salmon fillets, skin-side down. Cook for about 4-5 minutes until the skin is crispy. Carefully flip the fillets and cook for another 3-4 minutes until cooked through and golden. Remove salmon from the skillet and set aside.

Make the Sauce: In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, making sure not to burn it.

Cream Mixture: Stir in the heavy cream, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, dried thyme, and dill. Add red pepper flakes if using. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer and let it cook for 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.

Combine: Return the seared salmon fillets to the skillet, spooning the creamy herb sauce over the fillets. Let them warm in the sauce for another 2-3 minutes.

Serve: Plate the salmon and drizzle with the creamy herb garlic sauce. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve with lemon wedges on the side for an extra zing.
