300g pasta (penne or fettuccine works well)

2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, diced

150g bacon, chopped

1 medium onion, finely chopped

3 cloves garlic, minced

250ml chicken broth

200ml heavy cream

100g grated Parmesan cheese

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions
 

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of the pasta water, then drain and set aside.

    In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped bacon and cook until crispy. Remove the bacon with a slotted spoon and set aside, leaving the drippings in the pan.

      In the same skillet, add the diced chicken. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian herbs. Cook for about 6-8 minutes, or until the chicken is thoroughly cooked and starting to brown. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

        In the same skillet, add the chopped onion and garlic. Sauté for about 3-4 minutes, or until softened and fragrant.

          Pour in the chicken broth and scrape up any brown bits from the bottom of the skillet. Allow the broth to simmer for about 2-3 minutes.

            Lower the heat, and add the heavy cream to the skillet. Bring to a gentle simmer, then stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy.

              Return the crispy bacon and cooked chicken to the skillet. Toss to combine all ingredients thoroughly.

                Add the drained pasta to the skillet, tossing everything together. Let it cook for another 2-3 minutes. If the pasta seems too dry, gradually add some reserved pasta water until you reach the desired creaminess.

                  Adjust the seasoning with more salt, pepper, or herbs if needed.
