8 oz penne pasta

2 cups broccoli florets

1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, diced

1 tablespoon olive oil

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup chicken broth

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

½ teaspoon Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper to taste

1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved (for garnish)

Fresh basil leaves, for garnish (optional)

Instructions
 

Cook the Pasta: Boil a large pot of salted water. Add the penne pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. In the last 3 minutes of cooking, add the broccoli florets to the boiling pasta water. Drain and set aside.

    Sauté the Chicken: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced chicken and season with salt and pepper. Cook for about 6-7 minutes, until the chicken is cooked through and no longer pink. Add the minced garlic and sauté for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

      Make the Sauce: Reduce the heat to low. Pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine. Allow the sauce to simmer for about 5 minutes, letting it thicken slightly.

        Add Cheese and Seasoning: Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning. Mix until the cheese has melted and the sauce is creamy. Adjust seasoning with more salt and pepper if necessary.

          Combine Pasta and Chicken: Add the cooked penne and broccoli to the skillet. Toss everything together until the pasta is well-coated in the creamy sauce.
