Bowtie pasta, or farfalle, is not just a visually appealing choice for this creamy dish; its unique shape plays a significant role in the overall eating experience. The pinched centers and wide wings of the pasta allow it to hold onto sauces exceptionally well. This means that every bite of your creamy beef sauce clings to the pasta, delivering maximum flavor. Additionally, its texture provides a satisfying chew, making it a perfect canvas for the rich, creamy sauce that envelops it.

Ingredients

8 oz bowtie pasta (farfalle)

1 lb ground beef

1 small onion, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup beef broth

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

1 tsp Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper to taste

3 tbsp olive oil

Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Instructions

Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the bowtie pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Brown the Beef: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the chopped onion and garlic, and sauté until fragrant (about 2 minutes). Add the ground beef, breaking it up with a spoon, and cook until browned and no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.

Add the Flavor: Once the beef is browned, stir in the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and Italian seasoning. Bring to a simmer and let it cook for about 2-3 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

Make it Creamy: Reduce the heat to low and stir in the heavy cream. Let it warm through for a minute before adding the shredded cheddar cheese. Stir until the cheese has melted and the sauce is smooth.

Combine: Add the cooked bowtie pasta to the skillet, tossing it in the creamy beef mixture until well-coated. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Serve: Remove from heat and serve hot, garnished with fresh chopped parsley for a pop of color.
