Instructions

Preheat oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Make the biscuit dough: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Using a pastry cutter or your fingers, cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Add cheese and milk: Fold in the shredded cheddar cheese. Pour in the milk and stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; the dough should be a little sticky.

Prepare crab filling: In a separate bowl, mix together the crab meat, cream cheese, mayonnaise, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, Old Bay seasoning, salt, and pepper until well combined.

Form the biscuits: On a lightly floured surface, turn out the biscuit dough and gently knead it a few times until it comes together. Pat the dough into a 1-inch thick rectangle. Cut the dough into squares or circles (about 3 inches in diameter).

Stuff the biscuits: Take half of the cut biscuit shapes and place a generous teaspoon of the crab filling in the center of each. Top each with another biscuit shape, sealing the edges by gently pressing down.

Bake the biscuits: Place the filled biscuits onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes, or until golden brown.

Prepare the lemon butter: While the biscuits are baking, mix melted butter, lemon juice, garlic powder, and chopped parsley in a small bowl.

Brush and serve: Once the biscuits are baked, take them out of the oven and brush the tops with the lemon butter. Let them cool for a few minutes before serving.

Garnish and enjoy: Transfer the biscuits to a serving plate and garnish with extra parsley if desired. Serve warm and enjoy the delicious combination of crab, cheddar, and zesty lemon butter!
