1/4 teaspoon black pepper

For the Lemon Butter Sauce:

1/4 cup unsalted butter

1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

Zest of 1 lemon

Instructions

Make the Biscuits:

    - Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

      - In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, garlic powder, and paprika.

        - Cut in the cold butter using a pastry cutter or your fingertips until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

          - Stir in the cheddar cheese and chives.

            - Pour in the buttermilk and mix until just combined. Do not overmix.

              Prepare the Crab Filling:

                - In a separate bowl, gently mix together the crab meat, cream cheese, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, Old Bay seasoning, and black pepper until well combined. Be careful not to break up the crab too much.

                  Assemble the Stuffed Biscuits:

                    - Take a portion of the biscuit dough (about 1/4 cup) and flatten it in your palm.

                      - Place a tablespoon of the crab mixture in the center and fold the dough over, sealing it on all sides. Reshape into a ball and place it seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.

                        - Repeat this process until all the dough and crab filling are used, spacing the biscuits about 2 inches apart.

                          Bake the Biscuits:

                            - Bake the stuffed biscuits in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes or until golden brown on top.

                              Prepare the Lemon Butter Sauce:

                                - In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the butter. Once melted, stir in the lemon juice and lemon zest. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Keep warm.

                                  Serve:

                                    - Drizzle the warm lemon butter sauce over the freshly baked crab stuffed biscuits. Serve while hot and enjoy!
