Ingredients

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1 cup crab meat, shredded (preferably lump crab)

2 green onions, finely chopped

1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

1 tsp soy sauce

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1/4 tsp salt

1/4 tsp black pepper

1 package (50 count) wonton wrappers

Oil for frying (vegetable or canola)

Sweet and sour sauce or duck sauce, for serving (optional)

Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded crab meat, chopped green onions, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix everything together until well combined and creamy.

Lay out a wonton wrapper on a clean surface, and place about 1 teaspoon of the crab filling in the center of the wrapper.

Wet the edges of the wonton wrapper with a little water (using your finger), then fold it in half to create a triangle shape, sealing the edges tightly. You can also pinch the edges for an extra decorative touch.

Heat about 3 inches of oil in a deep pot or fryer over medium heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

Carefully drop a few wontons into the hot oil, making sure not to overcrowd the pot. Fry them for about 3-4 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy.

Use a slotted spoon to remove the fried Crab Rangoon and transfer them to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

Repeat the frying process until all the wontons are cooked.

Serve your crispy Crab Rangoon hot with sweet and sour sauce or duck sauce on the side for dipping. Enjoy!
