Ingredients

6 slices of whole grain bread

6 oz cooked turkey breast, sliced

6 oz cooked bacon, crispy

4 oz cheddar cheese, sliced

1 medium tomato, sliced

1 cup romaine lettuce leaves

1/4 cup mayonnaise

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

Salt and pepper to taste

Pickles (for serving)

Instructions

Prepare Spreads: In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise and Dijon mustard. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Toast the Bread: Lightly toast the whole grain bread slices until golden brown. This adds crunch and prevents sogginess.

      Assemble the Sandwiches:

        - Take two slices of toasted bread and spread a thin layer of the mayonnaise mixture on one side of each.

          - Layer on half of the turkey breast on one slice and top with cheese, followed by tomato slices and romaine lettuce.

            - Place another slice of toasted bread on top and repeat the layering process with the other half of the turkey, bacon slices, more cheddar cheese, and a layer of fresh lettuce.

              - Finish with the final slice of toasted bread, spread side down.

Slice and Serve: Using a sharp knife, carefully slice the sandwich into quarters, securing with toothpicks if needed. Serve with pickles on the side.
