Ingredients

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

3 tablespoons olive oil

2 tablespoons fresh lime juice

Zest of 1 lime

2 teaspoons chili powder

1 teaspoon cumin

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)

Lime wedges (for serving)

Instructions

In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, lime juice, lime zest, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Whisk until well combined.

Add the chicken breasts to the marinade, ensuring they are fully coated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes (or up to 2 hours for deeper flavor).

Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. If using a grill pan, you can add a little olive oil to prevent sticking.

Remove the chicken breasts from the marinade, allowing the excess to drip off, then place them on the hot grill.

Cook the chicken for about 6-7 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C) and the chicken is nicely charred.

Remove the chicken from the grill and allow it to rest for 5 minutes. This helps retain the juices.

Slice the chicken and serve garnished with fresh cilantro and lime wedges on the side.
