12 lasagna noodles

2 cups cooked, shredded chicken

2 cups ricotta cheese

3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 cups marinara sauce

1 large egg

2 teaspoons dried basil

2 teaspoons dried oregano

1 teaspoon garlic powder

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley for garnish

Preheat Your Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

    Cook the Noodles: In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil and cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and lay them flat on a towel to prevent sticking.

      Prepare the Ricotta Mixture: In a medium bowl, combine ricotta cheese, egg, basil, oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until smooth.

        Layer the Lasagna: In a 9x13 inch baking dish, spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom. Place 3 lasagna noodles side by side over the sauce. Spread 1/3 of the ricotta mixture over the noodles, followed by 1/3 of the shredded chicken and 1 cup of mozzarella cheese. Spoon more marinara sauce over everything.

          Repeat the Layers: Repeat the layering process two more times: noodles, ricotta mixture, chicken, marinara sauce, and top with the remaining mozzarella cheese. Finish with a final layer of noodles topped with marinara sauce and a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese.

            Cover and Bake: Cover the lasagna with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. Then remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

              Let it Rest: Remove the lasagna from the oven and let it cool for 10 minutes. This helps with slicing.

                Serve and Garnish: Cut into squares, serve warm, and garnish with freshly chopped parsley.
