Ingredients

1 lb chicken breast, cooked and shredded

4 slices of ham, chopped

4 slices of Swiss cheese, shredded

1 medium onion, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

4 cups chicken broth

1 cup heavy cream

2 tablespoons butter

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon dried thyme

1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

Salt and pepper to taste

1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Croutons (optional, for topping)

Instructions

In a large pot, heat the olive oil and butter over medium heat. Add the diced onion and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes.

Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.

Add the shredded chicken, chopped ham, and dried thyme to the pot. Stir to combine and let cook for another 3-4 minutes.

Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a gentle boil. Reduce heat and let it simmer for about 15 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.

Stir in the heavy cream and Dijon mustard, mixing well until the soup is creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Gradually add the shredded Swiss cheese, stirring continuously until melted and smooth. If the soup is too thick, you can add more chicken broth to reach your desired consistency.

Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley and croutons if desired.
