Ingredients

1 large baguette or ciabatta loaf

4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 cup fresh mozzarella cheese, diced

1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

1 cup fresh basil leaves, roughly chopped

1 tablespoon balsamic glaze (for drizzling)

Salt and pepper, to taste

Optional: red pepper flakes for a spicy kick

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Cut the baguette or ciabatta loaf in half lengthwise to create two open-faced pieces.

In a small bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, and dried oregano. Mix well to create a garlic butter spread.

Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly across the cut sides of the bread.

Top each half of the bread with diced mozzarella cheese and halved cherry tomatoes.

Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if desired.

Place the bread on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the bread is lightly toasted.

Remove from the oven and let it cool for a minute.

Garnish with fresh basil leaves and drizzle with balsamic glaze for a beautiful finish.

Slice into individual pieces and serve warm, enjoying the delightful combination of cheesy, garlicky goodness!
