Ingredients

12 oz linguine pasta

1 lb ground beef

4 tbsp unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1 tsp salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley

Additional Parmesan cheese for garnish

Instructions

Cook the Linguine: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the linguine and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain and set the pasta aside.

Brown the Beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Cook until browned and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat and set the meat aside.

Make the Garlic Butter Sauce: In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes, or until fragrant and golden, being careful not to burn it.

Combine Cream and Cheese: Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and mozzarella cheese until melted and well combined. If the sauce is too thick, gradually add some reserved pasta water until you reach your desired consistency.

Mix Pasta and Beef: Add the cooked linguine and browned ground beef back into the skillet. Toss everything together to coat the pasta and meat evenly with the sauce. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes, if using.

Garnish and Serve: Remove the skillet from the heat, and stir in the chopped parsley. Serve the pasta hot, garnished with additional Parmesan cheese.
