For the Brownie Layer:

1 cup unsalted butter

1 cup granulated sugar

1 cup packed brown sugar

4 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

For the Cheesecake Layer:

16 oz cream cheese, softened

1 cup granulated sugar

3 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 cup sour cream

For the Caramel Sauce:

1 cup granulated sugar

6 tablespoons unsalted butter

1/2 cup heavy cream

A pinch of sea salt

Instructions
 

Prepare the Brownie Layer:

    - Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9-inch springform pan with parchment paper.

      - In a saucepan over low heat, melt the butter. Remove from heat and stir in the granulated sugar and brown sugar until well combined.

        - Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.

          - In a separate bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually add this mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips.

            - Pour the brownie batter into the prepared springform pan and spread evenly. Bake for 25 minutes, then remove from oven and let it cool.

              Prepare the Cheesecake Layer:

                - In a large mixing bowl, beat softened cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add granulated sugar, mixing until creamy.

                  - Add eggs one at a time, beating on low speed until just combined. Stir in vanilla extract and sour cream until smooth.

                    - Pour the cheesecake batter over the cooled brownie layer, spreading it evenly. Bake for another 50-60 minutes, or until the center is set but still slightly jiggly. The cheesecake will firm up as it cools.

                      Prepare the Caramel Sauce:

                        - In a saucepan, cook sugar over medium heat, stirring constantly until it melts and turns a golden amber color.

                          - Carefully add butter (the mixture will bubble) and stir until melted. Slowly add heavy cream while stirring, and cook for an additional minute until smooth. Remove from heat and stir in a pinch of sea salt.
