Ingredients

8 oz fettuccine pasta

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 pound shrimp (peeled and deveined)

1 teaspoons Cajun seasoning

4 cloves garlic (minced)

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley

Salt and pepper to taste

Optional: 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (for extra heat)

Instructions

Cook the Fettuccine: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccine and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.

Sauté the Shrimp: In a large skillet, heat the butter and olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp, sprinkle with Cajun seasoning, and cook for about 3-4 minutes or until the shrimp turn pink and are cooked through. Remove the shrimp from the pan and set aside.

Make the Alfredo Sauce: In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in the heavy cream and bring it to a gentle simmer. Reduce the heat to low and stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.

Combine Ingredients: Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet. Add the cooked fettuccine and toss everything to combine well. If the sauce is too thick, gradually add some reserved pasta water until you reach your desired consistency.

Season and Serve: Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using) to taste. Remove from heat and stir in the freshly chopped parsley. Serve immediately, garnished with additional Parmesan cheese if desired.
