Ingredients

2 (6 oz) salmon fillets, skinless

12 oz large shrimp, peeled and deveined

2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning (store-bought or homemade)

3 tablespoons olive oil, divided

1 tablespoon unsalted butter

1 medium bell pepper, diced (red or yellow)

1 medium onion, diced

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

1 cup heavy cream

½ cup chicken broth

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Salt and pepper to taste

2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Cooked rice or pasta (for serving)

Instructions

Season the Seafood: In a bowl, combine the Cajun seasoning with 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Rub this mixture over the salmon fillets and the shrimp, ensuring they are well coated. Set aside to marinate while you prepare the vegetables.

Sauté the Vegetables: In a large skillet over medium heat, add 2 tablespoons of olive oil and the butter. Once melted, add the diced onion and bell pepper. Sauté for about 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are soft and translucent.

Add Garlic and Tomatoes: Stir in the minced garlic and halved cherry tomatoes, cooking for another 2-3 minutes until fragrant and the tomatoes start to soften.

Cook the Salmon: Push the vegetable mixture to one side of the skillet and place the salmon fillets in the other side. Brown the salmon for about 4 minutes on one side, then carefully flip and let cook for another 3 minutes. Remove the salmon from the skillet and set aside to keep warm.

Prepare the Sauce: In the same skillet, add the chicken broth, Worcestershire sauce, and heavy cream. Bring it to a gentle simmer, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan. Cook for about 5 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.

Cook the Shrimp: Add the shrimp to the skillet, stirring them into the creamy sauce. Cook for about 3-4 minutes or until the shrimp are pink and opaque. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Recombine: Return the salmon fillets to the skillet to warm them through and coat them in the sauce.

Serve: Plate the rice or pasta and top with the salmon and shrimp extravaganza. Drizzle extra sauce over the top and garnish with sliced green onions and chopped parsley.
