Ingredients

2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning (adjust to taste)

8 ounces fettuccine pasta

2 tablespoons olive oil

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Salt and pepper to taste

2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare Chicken: Sprinkle Cajun seasoning generously over both sides of the chicken breasts. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes for the flavors to meld.

Cook Pasta: In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add fettuccine and cook according to package instructions, until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving about 1 cup of pasta water.

Sear Chicken: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add seasoned chicken breasts and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until cooked through and golden brown. Remove from skillet and let rest before slicing.

Make Alfredo Sauce: In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Pour in the heavy cream, stirring to combine. Allow to simmer gently for 2-3 minutes.

Add Cheese: Gradually whisk in the Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce thickens. If the sauce becomes too thick, add reserved pasta water a little at a time until the desired consistency is reached.

Combine: Add the cooked fettuccine to the sauce, stirring well to coat the pasta evenly. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Serve: Slice the Cajun chicken and place it on top of the creamy Alfredo pasta. Garnish with chopped parsley for a touch of freshness.
