Ingredients

8 oz elbow macaroni

2 cups cooked shredded chicken

1 cup buffalo sauce (mild or spicy, based on your preference)

2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

1 cup cream cheese, softened

1 cup milk

1/2 cup blue cheese crumbles (optional)

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs

2 tablespoons butter, melted

Chopped green onions or parsley for garnish

Instructions

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Prepare the Cheese Sauce: In a large saucepan over medium heat, combine cream cheese and milk, stirring until the cheese is completely melted and the mixture is smooth.

Add Cheese and Chicken: Gradually stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until melted, followed by cooked shredded chicken and buffalo sauce. Mix until evenly combined. Season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.

Combine Pasta and Sauce: Add the cooked macaroni to the cheese sauce and stir until all the pasta is well-coated in the cheesy buffalo mixture.

Prepare for Baking: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Transfer the mac and cheese mixture to a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.

Topping: In a small bowl, mix the panko breadcrumbs with melted butter. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the mac and cheese. If desired, sprinkle blue cheese crumbles on top.

Bake: Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes or until the top is golden and crispy.

Garnish and Serve: Remove from oven and let it cool slightly. Garnish with chopped green onions or parsley before serving.
