Ingredients

1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined

1 cup buttermilk

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 cup cornstarch

1 teaspoon paprika

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Vegetable oil, for frying

1 cup mayonnaise

1/4 cup sweet chili sauce

2 tablespoons Sriracha (adjust for heat preference)

1 tablespoon honey

Green onions, sliced for garnish

Instructions

Marinate Shrimp: In a medium bowl, add the shrimp and pour in the buttermilk. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to tenderize the shrimp.

Prepare Breading: In a large bowl, combine the flour, cornstarch, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until uniform.

Heat Oil: In a large skillet, pour in vegetable oil to a depth of about 1 inch. Heat over medium-high heat until hot (about 350°F).

Coat Shrimp: Remove the shrimp from the buttermilk, allowing excess to drip off. Dredge each shrimp in the flour mixture, coating them evenly.

Fry Shrimp: Carefully add the breaded shrimp to the hot oil in batches to avoid overcrowding. Fry for 2-3 minutes until golden brown and crispy. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

Make Bang Bang Sauce: In a separate bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, Sriracha, and honey until smooth and well combined.

Coat Shrimp with Sauce: Place the fried shrimp in a large bowl, then pour half of the Bang Bang sauce over them. Toss gently to coat the shrimp evenly.

Serve: Arrange the Bang Bang shrimp on a platter, drizzle with additional sauce if desired, and garnish with sliced green onions. Enjoy!
