Ingredients

1 ½ cups all-purpose flour

1 cup granulated sugar

½ cup unsalted butter, softened

2 large eggs

¾ cup buttermilk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon baking powder

½ teaspoon baking soda

½ teaspoon salt

½ cup Biscoff spread (plus extra for drizzling)

½ cup crushed Biscoff cookies

1 cup whipped cream (for frosting)

2 tablespoons powdered sugar (for frosting)

Optional: Extra Biscoff cookies for garnish

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.

Cream Butter and Sugar: In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.

Add Eggs: Beat in the eggs one at a time, ensuring each one is fully incorporated before adding the next.

Incorporate Wet Ingredients: Mix in the buttermilk and vanilla extract until well combined.

Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

Mix Together: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

Add Biscoff Spread: Gently fold in the Biscoff spread and crushed Biscoff cookies until evenly distributed.

Bake the Cake: Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Cool the Cake: Remove from the oven and let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Prepare the Frosting: In a medium bowl, whip the cream with powdered sugar until soft peaks form.

Frost the Cake: Once the cake is completely cool, spread the whipped cream over the top of the cake. Drizzle with extra Biscoff spread and sprinkle with more crushed Biscoff cookies for garnish.

Serve and Enjoy: Slice the cake and serve it to your loved ones, enjoying a true slice of heaven!
