Ingredients

12 large jumbo pasta shells

1 lb ground beef

1 cup ricotta cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 egg, beaten

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh basil for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Cook Pasta Shells: Boil the jumbo pasta shells according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside to cool slightly.

Prepare Beef Filling: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat. Add garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.

Mix Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine cooked beef, ricotta cheese, 1/2 cup of the mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, beaten egg, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.

Fill Shells: Take each pasta shell and carefully stuff it with the beef and ricotta mixture.

Arrange in Dish: Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish. Place the stuffed shells in the sauce, seam side up.

Top with Marinara: Pour the remaining marinara sauce over the stuffed shells, ensuring all shells are covered. Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese on top.

Bake: Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. Uncover and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.

Garnish and Serve: Let the dish cool for a few minutes, then garnish with fresh basil if desired. Serve hot and enjoy!
