1 fresh ripe pineapple

12 slices of thick-cut bacon

1 tablespoon brown sugar

1 teaspoon paprika

1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for a kick)

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil for easy clean-up.

    Prepare the Pineapple: Cut the pineapple into bite-sized chunks (about 1-1.5 inches). You should have around 12 pieces for this recipe.

      Prepare Bacon Strips: Slice the bacon into halves. If you prefer crispier results, you can partially cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat for about 2-3 minutes, but it’s not necessary.

        Season Bacon: In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar, paprika, cayenne pepper (if using), and black pepper.

          Wrap the Pineapple: Take a chunk of pineapple and wrap it with a half-slice of bacon, securing it with a toothpick. Repeat this step until all the pineapple pieces are wrapped.

            Coat with Seasoning: Once you have all the bacon-wrapped pineapple pieces secured with toothpicks, sprinkle the brown sugar mixture evenly over them.
