12 mozzarella sticks

12 slices of bacon

1 cup all-purpose flour

2 eggs, beaten

2 cups breadcrumbs (preferably panko for extra crunch)

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon paprika

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon salt

Cooking spray or oil for frying

Marinara sauce for dipping (optional)

Prep the Mozzarella Sticks: Freeze the mozzarella sticks for at least 30 minutes before cooking. This helps prevent them from oozing out during the frying process.

    Wrap in Bacon: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Take the frozen mozzarella sticks and wrap each one with a slice of bacon, securing the ends as tightly as possible. You can use a toothpick if necessary to hold the bacon in place.

      Set up Breading Station: In three separate bowls, set up your breading station. In the first bowl, place the flour. In the second bowl, pour the beaten eggs. In the third bowl, mix together the breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, black pepper, and salt.

        Bread the Bacon-Wrapped Sticks: Dip each bacon-wrapped mozzarella stick first into the flour, coating it lightly. Then dip it into the beaten eggs, allowing any excess to drip off, and finally roll it in the seasoned breadcrumbs until fully coated. Set aside on a plate.

          Prepare for Baking: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange the breaded sticks in a single layer, with some space between each. Spray them lightly with cooking spray or drizzle with a little oil.
