Ingredients

1 lb chicken tenders

8 slices of crispy bacon, chopped

1/2 cup brown sugar, packed

1/4 cup soy sauce

1 tablespoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon paprika

1 tablespoon olive oil

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a bowl, mix the brown sugar, soy sauce, garlic powder, black pepper, and paprika to form a marinade.

Add the chicken tenders to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Let them marinate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours in the refrigerator for deeper flavor.

In a skillet over medium heat, add the chopped bacon and cook until crispy. Remove the bacon and place it on a paper towel to drain the excess fat.

In the same skillet, add the olive oil and the marinated chicken tenders, cooking for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.

Remove the chicken from the skillet and place them on the prepared baking sheet. Sprinkle the cooked bacon evenly over the chicken tenders.

Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld and the sugar to caramelize slightly.

Once done, remove from the oven, let them cool for a couple of minutes, and garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.

Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce or alongside a fresh salad for a delightful meal!
