8 oz cream cheese (softened)

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1/2 tsp vanilla extract

1 egg yolk

1 tbsp lemon juice (freshly squeezed)

1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)

1 tbsp all-purpose flour (for dusting)

Powdered sugar (for dusting, optional)

Instructions
 

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

    Prepare Puff Pastry: On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry sheet into a rectangle, approximately 12x10 inches. Cut the pastry into 6 equal squares (about 4x4 inches each).

      Make the Cream Cheese Filling: In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with granulated sugar, vanilla extract, egg yolk, and lemon juice until smooth and creamy.
